Wood River Golf is situated along the Wood River in Hope Valley, Rhode Island.  The Thompson Family has been providing Southern Rhode Island with an excellent and affordable golf experience since 2000. 

Golf is always open, no tee times are necessary.  Our league play begins the last week in April and ends the last week in August.  Please view calendar under the EVENTS page for scheduled tournaments.  We are open all fall and winter long snow permitting.

If you would like to ride the back 7 holes (hole #12-18) after walking the front 11 holes, a gas cart is $6 per person

Due to recent insurance changes and charges regarding our golf cart rentals, we are now requiring riders on gas carts that are NOT playing to also pay to ride which is $10 per person.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.




League Play Information: 

League Play will resume play the end of April 2024.  Every evening Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday a league will be teeing off between 4 and 5pm.  There is ALWAYS one side of the golf course open for public play during this time.  Check the calendar on the Events page for tournament dates. 

The RIGA has completed our slope and rate.  Wood River Golf is also part of the GHIN system.  If you are a participating member you may enter your scores at the golf course.


Play often??  Buy a Frequent Flyer Card!  The card is $125.00 for 5 rounds of 18 holes (walking) and the sixth is free!  Purchase in the pro shop.
